Lackawanna Kennel Club is again hosting a long weekend of AKC Earthdog tests in June. Our site is located in northeastern Pennsylvania just
outside of Scranton and we're close to the major interstates and hotels. We hope you will join us for all of the events!
Thursday June 24: "Introduction to Earthdog & Practice for Beginners"
and
Friday June 25: "Handling Techniques for All Earthdog Levels" by Jo Ann Frier-Murza
Jo Ann Frier-Murza is the author of "Earthdog Ins & Outs" and the acknowledged expert on den trials. The interactive training will be broken into four different stages, giving participants the ability to focus on a specific area. For those interested, a seminar on Handling Techniques will be offered Friday afternoon after the Earthdog test has concluded. Friday June 25 through Sunday June 27: AKC Earthdog Tests
· All three days have been combined into one premium list and entry form (www.lackawannakc.org/PDF%20files/Earthdog/ED%20Premium.pdf)
to simplify entry.
· The closing date for regular tests (Junior, Senior and Master) is
Friday June 18.
· Day of test entry will be accepted for Intro to Quarry only.

Saturday June 26: Onsite BBQ Dinner
This year for the convenience of our guest, we are offering an onsite BBQ dinner on Saturday night. The menu can be found in the premium list
and we suggest that you reserve your place in advance when you send in your entries.
RVs will be allowed on site for overnight parking and camping is welcomed. Due to limited bridge heights, alternate directions are
provided in the premium list for some routes with height restrictions of 11 or 12 feet.
We have secured a group rate at the Sleep Inn in Dunmore. The hotel is minutes from the site and the newest hotel in the area. Be sure to
mention "Lackawanna Kennel Club" when booking. Their phone is 570-961-1116.
